A Broadway Love Story is a musical romance and love story told through classic and contemporary songs of Broadway. Starring Adam Sippola and Ali Littrell Finstrom, accompanied by David Packa, the audience will experience the ups and downs of attraction, courtship, love, marriage, breakup and reunion – all through a rich and varied concert of songs spanning nearly 100 years, from a wide range of Broadway composers, including Stephen Sondheim, Lerner & Loewe, Irving Berlin, Jason Robert Brown, Rogers & Hammerstein, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Pasek & Paul, Leonard Bernstein, and more!


The event will be at the Duluth Woman’s Club, 2400 East Superior Street, Friday Oct. 6, starting at 6:00 pm with an Italian Tapas Buffet. Table seating for this one-time event is limited to 80. The performance will begin at 6:30 with a 20 minute intermission Italian dessert buffet. This performance is open to Duluth Woman’s Club members, as well as guests of the club. Please be our guest! Adam SippolaAdam Sippola is a singer, actor, director, and musician in Duluth, MN. Roles in the Midwest include Jean Valjean in Lés Misérables at the DECC Symphony Hall, Jesus in Jesus Christ Superstar (Artist in Residence with the Stagenorth Groundlings), Guido in Nine, Bobby in Company, Jamie in The Last Five Years, Roger in Rent, and Leo Frank in Parade. Directing credits include Nine and The Last Five Years at The Underground. Music/Vocal Direction credits include Spring Awakening, Company, and Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson with Renegade Theater Company. Adam sings with the Twin Ports Choral Project, and is the founder and a performer in Zenith City Cabaret (http://zenithcitycabaret.org/). Ali Littrell FinstromAli Littrell Finstrom feels fortunate to be a part of the vibrant arts community in Northern Minnesota. She has performed regularly at The Duluth Playhouse taking on roles such as Mary in Mary Poppins, Fantine in Les Miserables, Maria in The Sound of Music, Betty in White Christmas, and most recently The Narrator in Joseph…Dreamcoat. Before moving to Duluth she performed for several years in the Twin Cities at Chanhassen Dinner Theaters and The Guthrie Theater where she performed as Mary Ingalls in Little House on the Prairie the Musical alongside Melissa Gilbert as Ma. Ali holds a Bachelor of Music Vocal Performance from University of Missouri-Kansas City and has received awards for her performance in aria competitions. She is also a proud member of Actors’ Equity Association. Her favorite role? Being wife to Erik and mom to Kayleigh, Andrew, and Emily.

David PackaDavid Packa is a graduate of University of Wisconsin-Superior where he studied piano with Dr. Beth Gilbert. Since moving to Superior, WI in 2012, David has become an active teacher, performer, and collaborator in the Twin Ports. He works with Lyric Opera of the North, is on staff with the Lake Superior Youth Chorus, and collaborates with music students at UW-Superior and UM-Duluth. He teaches a private studio through the UW-Superior Conservatory program and plays for a wide variety of concerts and events throughout the Twin Ports community both professionally and recreationally. David is also an aspiring violist and composer. In 2016, he hosted a recital premiering his own compositions and he recently accepted the position of Assistant Principal Violist in the Mesabi Symphony Orchestra.
